We are a Black Hills Lodging Facility Centrally Located

Just Outside of the

Old Mining Mountain Town of Hill City.

We are easy to get to and we

are close to all the neccessities you will need for

your memorable Black Hills Vacation.

How to get to Whispering Winds Cottages and Campsites.

Please Note - Your GPS will not get you to our place if you

type in the address. Coordinates: +43.937771, -103.50975

**From Interstate 90 in Rapid City,

take Highway 16, truck route, (exit 61),

following all directions to Mount Rushmore.

Approx. 20 miles down the road you will approach the

turn off for Keystone and Mount Rushmore, Highway 16A.

Continue towards Hill City on Highway 16. We are located

4 miles past Highway 16A on the right side of the road.

**From Hill City take Highway 16/385 NE for 3 miles to

Three Forks (16/385 split). Continue on Highway 16

for one mile towards Rapid City. We are located on the left side of the road.

**If you are coming South on 385 from the Deadwood/Lead area,

you will pass Pactola Reservoir and then Sheridan Lake. 2 miles

past Sheridan Lake you will come to the Intersection of 16/385.

Known as Three Forks which has a Cenex gas station on the corner.

If you turn right, you will go to Hill City. You will need to take a

left on Highway 16 towards Rapid City. Once you turn left, we are

one mile down the road and on the left.
