How to get to Whispering Winds Cottages and Campsites.

**From Interstate 90 in Rapid City, take exit 61, (Truck Hwy.16)
following all directions to Mount Rushmore. You will go thru several
lights, pass a Walmart, go up a long hill in which you will want to get into
the left lane. There will be a Water Slide on the left. Turn left at light.
You are now on Highway 16 or Mount Rushmore Rd.
Approx. 20 miles down the road you will approach the
exit for Keystone and Mount Rushmore which is Hwy. 16A.
Continue towards Hill City/Crazy Horse staying in the right lane
on Highway 16. We are located 4 miles past Highway 16A on the
right side of the road.
**Coming from the south you will go through Hill City taking
Highway 16/385 NE for 3 miles to Three Forks (16/385 split). Hwy. 385 turns left,
but you want to continue on Highway 16 towards Rapid City for one mile.
We are located on the left side of the road.
**If you will be driving south on 385 from the Deadwood/Lead area,
you will pass Pactola Reservoir and then Sheridan Lake. 2 miles
past Sheridan Lake you will come to the Intersection of 16/385.
Known as Three Forks which has a Cenex gas station on the corner.
You will want to take a left on Highway 16 towards Rapid City.
Once you turn left, we are one mile down the road and on the left.
